Platform Updates July 2026: GPT-5.6, Grok 4.5, Web Search Everywhere, and Redesigned Settings

Since our last blog update at the start of July, Palabres has filled out the model catalog with the latest flagship releases, brought web search to every chat model, and polished the everyday experience of chatting and managing your account.

New AI Models

OpenAI: GPT-5.6 family

OpenAI’s newest generation is now on Palabres as three clear options:

GPT-5.6 Sol — frontier model for complex professional work (our recommended OpenAI default)
GPT-5.6 Terra — balanced intelligence and cost for everyday heavy lifting
GPT-5.6 Luna — efficient option for high-volume, cost-sensitive use

All three support adjustable reasoning effort so you can trade depth for speed when you need to.

xAI: Grok 4.5

Added Grok 4.5 — xAI’s latest flagship, with reasoning and web search, now recommended as the default Grok model

Cleaner model catalog

We trimmed older generations that no longer belong next to current flagships. The picker stays focused on models you are likely to use day to day, while past chats that used retired models still open correctly.

Web search on every model

Web search used to work only on some models. Web Search is now available on every chat model:

Turn on the globe next to the composer for live web results
Replies can show source chips so you can open the pages the answer relied on
Same toggle no matter which model you chose

Redesigned settings

Settings is now a full app shell with three clear sections:

General — preferred model, language (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian), and light / dark / system theme
Usage & Billing — your plan plus usage over 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days by model
Account — email, password reset, support, and sign out

Clearer chat messages

Message layout and markdown rendering got a refresh:

Cleaner bubbles for you and the assistant
Better spacing for paragraphs, lists, headings, and quotes
Code blocks with language labels and one-click copy
Tables that scroll instead of overflowing the chat
Source chips when a reply used web search

Conversation history

Sidebar history now groups chats by your local calendar day, so Today and Yesterday match the day where you are.
